Photograph of Sixteenth Street, showing vibrations by cracks in a wall, San Francisco, 1906. A metal fence stands in front of the various bushes that grow in front of the wall of the building at center. Three arched windows can be seen with thick frames. Between the windows, long cracks cut through the outer layer of the wall exposing the brick below. The cracks were caused by the strong vibrations of the earthquake.
