Description
Photograph of an inkwell and holder for quills at Mission Santa Barbara, California, ca.1905. The inkwell appears to be made of a shiny polished metal. It has a rectangular base with intricate carvings and knobs to hold the entire base. Above the base, there is a smaller rectangular base that holds three bowls that serve as the inkwells. There is another ornament on each side of the base that serves as the holder for the quills. The inkwell sits on a table covered with a carpeted cloth.
