Photograph caption dated September 29, 1959 reads "Very important parent and very important pupil, that is, are Mayor Earle William Burke and his 10-year-old daughter, Martha, who naturally selected her dad as the first person to pin with a PTA VIP membership button. Approving procedure is Mrs. K. M. Simpson Jr., membership chairman, Burbank Council."
