Description
The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on August 2, 1974 states: "Rocky debris below Chaos Crags in Lassen Volcanic National Park remains from an avalanche 300 years ago. Park officials, fearing another such rockslide might come crashing down on the nearby Manzanita Lake facilities, closed a campground, concessions and a range station there."
