Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the James Marshall cabin in Coloma, ca.1890. The one-story wooden cabin is shown with one of its broad sides facing the camera. A small porch stands in front of the entrance to the left, its overhang entangled in a net of brambles. Two windows are visible spaced at the far ends of the broad wall, with two similarly spaced along the narrow wall. Even the roof shingles of the cabin appear to be made of wood. Sunlight is radiating in from over the treetops in the background.
