Description
This photograph of the Hotel Senator was taken in 1996. Built in 1924 in the Renaissance Revival style, this hotel has played host to four Presidents of the United States; Warren Harding, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter. The architects of the Hotel Senator were K. MacDonald and G. Albert Lansburgh. The building, located at 1121 L St., has been closed to the public since the 1980s. It is number 79003459 on the National Register.
