Description
An interesting account that contains a great deal of historical information. We are told that the tiny Rhone estate of Chateau Grillet was expensive even then in England, but unlike the present dry, floral scented wine, the grapes were allowed "to become shrivelled and almost rotten before they were gathered...and a sweet vin de dessert" was made. This is a valuable reference. Scarce. Cf. Gabler, p. 75.
