Description
This image of the Procter and Gamble Manufacturing Company, located in Long Beach Harbor at 1601 West 7th Street, is one of several in the archive. Superintendent Paul A. Nichol managed the plant during the 1950"s. The business opened in 1931 and closed circa 1988. This image shows the plant's quality control laboratory, where a young man wearing street clothes sits at a counter working in front of an array of test tubes and equipment.
