Photograph caption dated August 4, 1955 reads, "Painters favorite spot - Bob Batchelor, park maintenance man, opens door of old barn to visitor of Tapia Park, near Calabasas. Spot is favorite subject of many Southland's painters. Area also presents treat for amateur archeologists and students of nature. Tapia was used long ago as stop-over for Indians on hunting trips."
