Description
Episode 402 of the California Academy of Sciences' television program Science in Action features chancellor of the UC system and Nobel laureate Glenn Seaborg, as well as Dr. Thomas H. Pigford of UC Berkeley (founding chairman of the Department of Nuclear Engineering). Seaborg and Pigford discuss nuclear and solar energy as alternate fuel sources. Also featured in this episode is Animal of the Week the short-tailed albatross, a California native and a member of the federal Endangered Species list.
