Photograph caption dated September 12, 1961 reads, "The St. Cabrini Council of the Knights of Columbus in Burbank has become one of the first fraternal organizations in the Valley to pledge its full support in civil defense. Ben Watson (right), director of civil defense for the City of Burbank, instructs Knight member Jerry Pierce in the use of the megaphone."
