Alfonso Carillo moved to the United States and the Pomona Valley in 1927 from Guadalajara, Mexico. Mr. Carillo acted and did iron work for the Pasadena Community Playhouse, the Padua Hills Theatre, and the Mission Inn in Riverside. He was a talented ironworker, whose work can be seen all over Southern California. Mr. Carrillo describes his time at the Padua Hills Theatre and Claremont, as well as his work in the area.
