Description
Round, aluminum, 25 mm. These agricultural tokens were used to pay workers on a piecemeal basis ... the employee received a token for each "unit" of work performed, in this case most likely processing (peeling and/or sectioning) a crate of tomatos. At the end of the day the employee would turn in the tokens, and be paid the current piece rate per unit times the number of tokens turned in.
