Photograph of a ship flying the war flag of Imperial Japan. There is a sign on the gangway that reads: N.Y.K. (Nippon Yusen Company). Photo from page 8 of Yoneguma Takahashi photo album (csudh_ytkh_0001).
The Yoneguma Takahashi Photo Album contains family portraits, military photographs from Japan, Korea, and China, and photographs of Yoneguma's fruit stand in San Pedro, California. The photo album belonged to Yoneguma's younger brother, Shiego "Johnny" Takahashi, who might have served in the Japanese military. Yoneguma was a Kibei Nisei, a Japanese American born in the United States who moved back to Japan to attend school.
