Image shows interior view of La Venta Inn, with 19 members of the Palos Verdes Art Jury gathered in the original dining room at La Venta for dinner. According to the Palos Verdes Bulletin (December 1924, p. 8), President Myron Hunt, wearing dark-rimmed round glasses and standing at left, "presided and brief speeches were made by many prominent representatives of art associations and interests of Southern California." Jay Lawyer, General Manager of the Project, is seated at the head of the table, with Col. John C. Low standing at his left, Charles H. Cheney visible in the lower right corner. Among the guests in attendence were George Edwin Bergstrom (President, Allied Architects Association), Sumner M. Spaulding (architect), G. Gordon Whitnall (Director, Los Angeles City Planning Commission), Alexander Phimister Proctor (sculptor), and Arthur Farwell (composer.) Art Jury Member David C. Allison (architect) was also present.
