Photograph caption dated January 8, 1964 reads, "Burbank police detective H. L. Strickland, 23-year member of the force and long-time robbery investigator, has been elected president of the Southern California Robbery Investigators Association for 1964. The association was formed in 1958 to co-ordinate the investigation of major robberies."
