Photograph of an exterior view of an unidentified oil refinery at night, ca.1940. The lights of the inner rooms of the structure at center shine through the windows and doorways while the walls are blackened with night. The pipes which line the towers above the structure shimmer with the tiny streams of light from the lamps which hang along the walls. Large lamps provide orbs of light which illuminate the platforms which top the towers while the bottoms of the structures remain invisible.
