Thea Dee Slusky discusses her book, “The Skier’s Year Round Exercise Guide.” She begins by talking about her background in skiing and her career as a physical therapist. She recommends certain exercises and stretches for beginning skiers, and emphasizes the importance of being flexible. The book contains drawings for the proper way to do stretches. Slusky shows Martinson how to do several exercises including leg lifts, abdominal stretches, and how to relax the neck and shoulders. She ends the interview by comparing downhill skiing and cross-country skiing.
