Title supplied by cataloger. Photograph caption dated February 14, 1961 partially reads, "Curtis Gammell, Poly's rebounding star, was placed on the second team...Gammell, only a junior, scored only 84 points for this season, but his value was 'working the boards'. His rebounding and and board control helped pave the way for Poly's league and city championship." Gammell, a forward for the Polytechnic High School Parrots, was selected for the second team of the All-City basketball team. Photograph caption dated February 4, 1961 partially reads, "Gammell's height and terrific spring under the basket gave Polytechnic a big edge in ball control. He improved constantly during the season and reached his top performances in the all-City tournament, scoring 23 and 22 points in quarterfinal and semifinal action respectively." Gammell was selected for the 1960-61 All-East Valley League basketball team.
