Description
Irene Coffin is seated in the center, celebrating her 100th birthday at the Claremont House in Oakland, California. The two ladies at her table are also celebrating their own November birthdays. In the rear left sits Bob Coffin, a nephew of Irene. In the rear right sits Joe Benson, another nephew of Irene. Irene if daughter of Alonzo and Louise Coffin. Irene graduated from UC Berkeley and taught at Berkeley High School. Irene wrote for the UC Berkeley Alumni magazine until 1986, at the age of 99.
