Mrs. Ethel Krause is shown in a Spanish wedding gown, with a mantilla of real lace, impersonating that romantic character of early California history, Senorita Josefeta Carrillo, whose marriage with Henry Fitch, a Protestant and an American, nearly disrupted the little pueblo of Los Angeles and the Mission San Gabriel. She appeared in the pageant of early California women given May 30, 1932, by the California Women of the Golden West.
