Description
This drawing, by Valley Times staff artist Bob Hyde and published in an article dated May 19, 1961, depicts a "hot" dog suffering during the hot Nevada summer. The article describes a "pooch cooler" being proposed for the base of Hoover Dam at Boulder City, Nevada, to offer relief to dogs, cats and birds threatened by the torrid summer heat.
