These photographs are contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco."
Text written to the right of photos on page 212: "Shrine Convention San Francisco 1922 Decorations at Civic Center 1922." Text written to right of photo on page 212 bottom: "City Hall Square enclosed 1922." No written text by photo on page 213 top.
View 1 (v2p212b). Row of camel statues atop pedestals lining Fulton Street next to the Public Library. A grandstand can be seen in the distance toward Market Street -- View 2 (v2p212c). From east side of Polk Street looking south, halfway between Grove and McAllister streets. Shows Civic Center Plaza enclosed with walls at corners and entrances, towers topped with minarets; Exposition Auditorium in background -- View 3 (v2p213a). Shows same scene but taken from across McAllister Street.
