First photograph caption dated January 6, 1961 reads "Jack Fleck, San Fernando Valley entrant in the Los Angeles Open, should hope that his game matches the reflected sparkle of the sun seen in his clubhead here in practice for the $45,000 event. And it may, for he has been playing well in practice." Second photograph caption dated April 6, 1962 reads "Northridge golfer Jack Fleck shoots par 72."
