Photograph article dated December 17, 1963 partially reads, "High school science students from Los Angeles will have a chance to rub elbows with some of California’s leading scientists at the hristmas [sic] science lecture series next Thursday. Some 2,000 students will meet at USC’s Bovard Auditorium for two sessions including lectures, panel discussions and question and answer periods. The series, under the auspices of the Association for the Advancement of Biochemical Education (AABE), was established to stimulate the interests of students who show a specific talent in biological sciences. Plans are in the works to include physical sciences in a few years.” Preparing for USC science lecture are, left to right, Mrs. Barbara Hooper, co-chairman of the series and biology teacher at Cleveland High School in Reseda, and student panelists, Muriel Dance and Vincent Brach, also of Cleveland High School.
