Description
This photograph of the Palace Hotel Building including Hunter's Drug Company (201 J Street), Copa De Oro Restaurant (925 Second Street), Zakar Shoe Repair (931 Second Street) was taken circa 1960. Pedestrians trod the sidewalks, two men look at a display in front of the drug store while a man stands by a large delivery truck. A sign for the Speedboat Cafe is flanked by a large metal Coca Cola sign, and what is visible of the large sign on the top of the building indicates that the hotel rooms are all modern, but as of when is not stated.
