Description
Photograph of the stone sundial at Mission Santa Barbara, [s.d.]. The sundial is square and has roman numerals along both sides and the bottom. Along the left side, the numerals read V, VI, VII, VIII. Along the bottom, they are IX, X, XI, XII, I, II, III, and along the right they are VII, VI, V, IV. There is an inscription in Latin along the top side. The gnomon sticks out diagonally down and has a support about three-quarters of the way down its length. The gnomon and its shadow form an A shape. There is ivy growing around the sundial.
