Image of an elevated landscape view of the city of Lynn, Massachusetts, from a lookout point near High Rock where people in formal dress talk and look at the view; eight references printed in margin and a small vignette with the city's seal in the bottom center margin.
"Painted by J. B. Bachelder, From a Daguerreotype by C. G. Hill."--text, bottom left margin. "Lith. of Endicott & Co. N.Y."--text, bottom right margin. "Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1856, by J. B. Bachelder in the Clerks Office of the District Court of Massachusetts."--text, bottom margin centered. "Lynnn Mass. / Settled 1629. Instituted a City May 14, 1850"--text, circle logo, bottom margin centered. "To the Citizens of Lynn, this picture is most respectfully dedicated by the Publisher / Gnl. J. B. Bachelder."--text, bottom margin.
