1990-1716.
Born in Pike County, Pennsylvania in 1838. Parents came overland to California in 1849. Family settled in Sacramento. Became farmer and fruit grower, owning land on upper Stockton Road. Married Maria Louisa Fine. For brief time was editor of the Sacramento Valley Agriculturist and a correspondent for the Rural Press and California Patron. Died in 1902.
