Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated December 19, 1962 reads, "Christopher Smith, 2, went visiting Tuesday. Dressed in his blue and white flannel sleepers, Christopher took his toy radio and left home at 5341 1/2 Colfax Ave., North Hollywood, and went up to Margate St., a couple of blocks away. Pretty soon, his mother, Mrs. Gail Smith, looked around. No Christopher. She called police at 10:45 a.m. Christopher was at the police station where he was taken by a passer-by who found him walking on the street. His sleeper was all wet so police took it off and wrapped him up in a towel. Barefoot, he padded around the police station, breakfasted on cocoa and rolls, and had a good time. Police said the brown-haired, hazel-eyed tot was 'very affectionate, well-behaved and very friendly.' His mother came after him at 11 a.m." Christopher can be seen hugging policewoman, Josephine Taylor.
