Description
Photograph caption reads: "Demian Keys, 8, lived with his mother Sheryl Neira, and younger brother in this legally uninhabitable unit that was rented to them by Caltrans for $65 a month". Demian, barefoot, stands in a dilapidated kitchen that has bare cubpoards, some without doors, and walls with chinks between the wood planks. Photograph dated: April 16, 1979.
