Photograph caption dated March 13, 1962 reads "Notre Dame High's Gregg Gobel, son of comedian George Gobel, will be competing against Serra in the Catholic League dual meet opener Friday night. Gregg is seen leaping 20 ft., 10 3/4 ins. in recent Notre Dame Relays to place fourth. Teammate Mike Parker will be favored in the broad jump and high jump in important meet at Serra High School."
