Description: Caption from October 8, 1967 Sacramento Bee reads "This strange-looking watercraft is being operated by the U.S. Navy on San Pablo Bay near Mare Island. It rides on a cushion of air over water, swamps or dry land, and travels up to 70 miles per hour. Craft of this type have been used successfully in Vietnam."
