Photograph article dated August 22, 1960 partially reads, "A young bandit was shot to death in a North Hollywood liquor store shortly before midnight Friday when he slipped and fell as he left the scene of a robbery. The unidentified youth was hit by one of three bullets fired by Lew Barnett, 56, owner of the Lighthouse Liquor Store, 12909 Sherman Way."
