Description: "Police car package set for Ford Taurus -- for the first time, early in 1990, Ford Taurus is being offered with a police package for law enforcement agencies. Shown here is a Taurus police package vehicle undergoing evaluation by the Wayne County (Mich.) Sheriff's Department. Evaluations also were conducted by the San Diego Police Department and the Utah Highway Patrol. The Ford Taurus provides an attractive option as police departments across the country look for more efficient police vehicles. 11/10/98"
