This is a vintage print signed, titled, and dated in pencil by the artist on verso; artist's wet stamp also on verso. The extensive portfolio of photographic artist Carol Westwood (1942-2011), a native New Yorker who lived in Los Angeles for many years, includes a diverse array of subjects: animals, nudes, American and European cities, and portraits. Additionally, she worked on special and still photography for numerous motion picture and television productions in Hollywood; the archive of her entertainment and celebrity images was distributed internationally by Gamma, Liaison International, Stone Images, and Getty images from 1988-2003. Looking east down Hollywood Boulevard towards East Hollywood and Los Feliz, as seen from the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street. Prominently visible on the right is an upper section of the Taft Building (1923), a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument designed by Walker and Eisen; an office worker is seen in one of the windows. Photograph dated May 1990.
