Photograph caption dated September 26, 1956 reads, "Workmen construct auditorium wing on clubhouse at Dexter Park in canyon. It is scheduled for completion by Christmas. At back is present clubhouse built by Los Angeles County at urging of Kagel Canyon Women's Club. Community center has trained counselor working with youngsters, serves as meeting place for civic groups, clubs and special community programs."
