Photograph caption reads: "A 4-yr old Macaque baboon is being held in the Baldwin P[ar]k Animal Shelter after the shelter responded to a call for help from the owner (no ID) to help catch the animal - after it got loose when the owner and his female baboon was [sic] attempting to get the baboon to mate. That can shake anyone up. Supervisor of the shelter, Jamie Merez, said they will cite the owner, a Pomona man, who aslo received 15 stitches from the bite. They will attempt to find it a new home. If not, it will have to be destroyed, as will the female baboon also. The owner had no permits to keep the animals at home". The Baldwin Park Animal Shelter is at 4275 N. Elton, Baldwin Park.
