Pictured to the left is Murray Rose, medalist in the 1956 and 1960 Summer Olympics and captain of the USC swim team. Next to him smiling is Steve Clark of the Santa Clara Swim Club, they are both set to compete at the 1961 National AAU men's outdoor swimming championships at Los Angeles Swim Stadium. Clark later won three gold medals in the 1964 Summer Olympics. Photograph date stamped August 8, 1961.
