Photograph caption reads: "Gray overcast held crowds down at beaches. From Santa Monica Beach and north, lots were on 10% to 10% full. La Jolla State Beach in Ventura County, though sold out for weekend, was still only 80% full by 2 p.m. Saturday". Campers and tents line both sides of picnic tables that stand close to the parking area. Photograph dated: May 30, 1982.
