Photograph of a view of Broadway looking south from Ninth Street, Los Angeles, ca.1928. The gothic architecture of the twelve-story United Artists building and the six-story Blackstones building are prominently visible to the right side of the street while automobiles, streetcars and pedestrians navigate Broadway. Other legible signs include: "Fox Womens Apparel / Popular Price[s]", "Kohler Photog[raphy]", "Auto Park 25¢", "The White Sewing Machine 917", "Victory Six / R.C. Andrus", "W. Ninth Street", "The New Studebaker Paul C. Hoffman Co.", "Western Auto Supply Co. / All Over the West 100 So. Grand", and the "[S]unday Examiner".
