Description
Lake Berryessa spillway, commonly known as "Glory Hole," in operation. The pertinent parts of the photo caption in the Sacramento Bee of January 22, 1974, state: "Recent heavy runoff of rain and melting snow has filled many Northern California reservoirs earlier than usual. . . . . Lake Berryessa . . . (was) spilling excess water through overflow passages."
