Description
Photograph of an exterior view of an unidentified oil refinery, ca.1940. Thick clusters of parallel pipes line the raised platforms which support the short, cylindrical structures in the foreground. Several short, wooden buildings stand among those structures with a row of skeletal, octagonal towers standing behind them on the right. Staircases and platforms cling to the sides of the octagonal towers and the view is slightly obstructed by the cloud of smoke which floats in from the right. A row of pipes which seep smoke from their tops stands parallel to the towers while a skeletal skyscraper stands above them on the left.
