Description
Interhueman, 1997; Acrylic, 31’ x 33’. Exterior of Y Tower, Mead Hall (dormitory). Created by Paul Botello with students, faculty and staff in May 1997. Monumental figures depicting the four great races surround an enigmatic being that symbolizes the unity of humanity. Around the figures, linked by a chain, float icons denoting each race's contributions to the whole. According to Botello, the chain signifies both the struggle of humanity and an umbilical cord that physically binds us together.
