Photograph caption dated April 15, 1957 reads, "Douglas Lee, 9, of North Hollywood , is skeptical about feeding a fawn with baby bottle, but nevertheless is willing to give it a try at Van Nuys Animal Shelter where little deer was taken after being found in Valley. Pound officials plan to give fawn to U.S. Forestry Service who will in turn take it back to woods and release it. Right now, fawn's cage is next to a goat's."
