Description
Photograph of T-38 Supersonic Trainer inside hangar, ca. 1950. At center, a large U.S. Air Force T-38 jet is seen parked within a hangar. The body of the plan is slender and pointed, especially near the beak of the jet. On the top surface near the beak, glass panels covering the dual cockpit compartments are seen. A star shaped emblem is visible along the body of the plane and on the edge of the left wing. The wings appear short and flat, and a smaller pair are seen attached to the tail of the plane. Aside from its tires, several metal rods are visible beneath the plane extending to the ground for support. In the background, the bare interior of the hanger is visible.
