Carpenter is nearly lost in sea of 1,500,000 new stamps issued by post office department for use when higher rates go in effect Aug. 1. Stamps have been on sale for several weeks to enable mailing firms and other businesses to stock up on new supplies before change goes into effect". Photograph dated: July 25, 1958.
