10 lines, written on recto along the fibers. Experienced cursive script. Margins: top, 3.7 cm.; left, 2 cm.; bottom, 1 cm. On verso (along the fibers) address: to Menches, komogrammateus. Official letter from Polemon, to his brother Menches, village secretary of Kerkeosiris, Egypt, announcing the the approach of a high official and warning Menches to have his accounts in order. The text is dated to the third year of King Ptolemy IX Soter II, 11th of the Egyptian month Payni (June 28, 114 B.C.) In Greek.
