Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated March 6, 1961 partially reads, "Old and sage is the expression, 'the woman behind the man,' but how about the woman behind the man and the gun club? Bessie Kaslin, wife of Howard Kaslin, club president, is just such a woman. She is the familiar smile in the control booth and the voice on the telephone of the Golden Valley Gun Club in Pacoima. Mrs. Kaslin is the official 'Shooting' Cashier for the fast-growing organiaztion [sic], that facility used by more than 600 scattergun shooters each weekend. Her main job is to assign the shooters to their fields and squad up the groups."
