Photograph article dated August 4, 1956 partially reads, "Genealogy can be an expensive hobby or a frustrating profession, according to Mrs. John L. Quinn of Burbank, who until now has kept it in the former classification. After a 9,000-mile bus trip through Southern states last spring, Mrs. Quinn returned home to prepare the final draft of a book, 'Descendants of Governor Robert Gibbes of South Carolina.' More than 10,000 descendants of Gibbes, a Colonial governor in 1712-1714, are listed in the thick volume, which she expects to have published before the end of the year."
